Product Details
English Boom is a beautiful state park on Camano Island, WA, along the Skagit Bay. During the 1920s and 1930s, the English Lumber Co. logged the forests to the east of Stanwood and Mount Vernon. The company stored tree logs here, a facility called a “boom.” Portions of the storage facility still stick up out of the water. Now it’s a park where nature is slowly reclaiming the land from the damage done.
“English Boom” is inspired by this beautiful 6-acre park. Designed in reclaimed fibers, the straight rows remind us of the logs that remain of the original structures. Use it as a shawl, scarf or a cowl. The possibilities are endless!
