Chenille- either you love it or hate it! Although it has a soft, cozy feel, it is a tough yarn because it is prone to “worming” when knit (when loops pop up from the knitted fabric). Crocheting with chenille solves that problem and that is why I made this shawl.
Designed to be worn as either a shawl or an oversized scarf, the open crochet allows it to drape and bunch without being bulky. The chenille yarn is warm, but the openings in the fabric keep it from being too warm. Wear it as a shawl when the fall nights are getting cooler, and wear it as a scarf through the cold of winter.
