I wanted to design a lighter shawl for those breezy, but warm days and use Shetland sts...not a purl in sight! Continually inspired by the ancient architectural forms in places such as Morocco - I came upon the oldest standing university and library, the University of Al Quaraouiyine. Founded in 859 AD by Fatima-Al-Fihri - you go girl!
This shawl is all about Shetland garter lace forms combined to reflect the exquisite archaway of the University of Al Quaraouiyine.
This the bunnymuff group shawl. This is an heart shaped shawl, worked in garter st and utilizing more traditional Shetland lace sts. Diamonds, beads, optional nupps and garter lace galore!
