Product Details

This seamless, cosy, twined cowl starts off with a provisional cast on and ends with some grafting. The organic staghorn cables make this the perfect project for learning to cable without a cable needle.

I used roughly 1.5 balls of Cocoon to make the sample shown; you could make a single loop version with just one ball.

Yarn: Rowan Cocoon [80% merino, 20% mohair; 126yd/115m per 100g]: 2 balls (shown in 833 Duck Down) Needles: 6.5mm/US10.5 needles Notions: wool needle for grafting; cable needle (if desired) Gauge: 24 sts x 18 rows per 10cm/4in in pattern (after blocking) Dimensions: 14 cm(5.5in) x 100cm(40in)

Rowan Cocoon changes tension significantly after blocking so please do block your swatch to make sure you’re happy with the look and feel for your cowl.

Notes
Double loop cowl uses 1.5 balls of Cocoon. One ball would make a single loop cowl. Circular or straight needles are fine for this pattern.
