Product Details
Firefly Field Socks are a modern take on classic lacework. Each repeat reminds me of magical Fireflies dancing around the field.
Not all eyelets and lace are equal - Firefly Field Socks are not complicated to knit and the specific stitches used produce neat and consistent eyelets.
There are six rows for each repeat, including rest rounds so you can enjoy some “just knit” time while having the lace rounds to motivate one more repeat.
MY FAVORITE FEATURES
The “Firefly” lace flows perfectly from the ribbed cuff.
“Firefly” eyelets look perfectly neat each time you knit them.
A smooth heel flap that looks woven pairs nicely with the delicate lace.
The round toe fits most feet very well and adds some refined interest at the end. (Less to graft in finishing, too!)
CONSTRUCTION Cuff down - lace “fireflies” all around the leg - my ‘woven’ heel flap & turn - gusset - continued “fireflies” across the top of the foot - and my favorite round toe.
