I designed this pattern for my grandsons who requested party clothes. The pattern uses DK yarn and the tops are knitted in the round to the armholes to save sewing in too many ends. They look good with a shirt for special occasions or with a T-shirt/polo shirt for an extra layer of warmth out and about. Instructions are given for approximate ages 1 to 11 years. While you need larger amounts (between 100 -200g) of yarn for the main colour, you will only require less than 50g of 5 contrasting ones.
