Product Details
This version of Rodin's The Thinker is worked in the round. Pattern uses short rows for shaping.
The sculpture stands about 13 inches tall when worked as directed, using a worsted weight yarn held together with a strand of silk-mohair. Substituting other worsted weight yarns will work fine, as long as the yarn is round; tape, ribbon, and other flat yarns are not recommended.
The figure is worked separately from the base "rock" and then the two pieces are sewn together. The base is made from recyclables -- a drink carton, a jar lid, and a coaster. Optional features are wooden skewers for limb support and the iconic Florentine cap.
