Product Details
What a pair of lazy fat cats! Ginger, the orange striped cat, is having a little lie down, (they could make a sweet doorstop) and Smudge the grey cat is waiting for a head scratch (they could also be used as a bookend). Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the cats are knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round). Smudge uses kitchener stitch, an invisible grafting technique, to finish the top of their head. For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, knitting stripes, and seaming to finish.

Facile à suivre mais attention à ne pas vous tromper comme moi aux changements de couleur... je vais remplacer la laine pour les moustaches par du gros fil noir. À suivre...
Have finished ginger. He looks good perched on my couch. Smudge is waiting to be stuffed
This is a very clear pattern and I was delighted with the result. I made Smudge and he sat beautifully, unlike some toys which do not always balance. It is easy to adapt the pattern, as I did, with fewer stripes in the tail to match the wool oddments which I was using up. I intend to make Smudge some friends with more oddments from my stash. The possibilities are endless!
