Product Details
Doesn’t your grandpa have a cozy cardigan to wear around the house? Mine does, and now my son has one to keep him snug and warm too. Cardigan is worked from the bottom up. Shawl collar is extended with short rows to be wider at the neckline. Cabling is worked on the fronts and modified for the sleeves, and the back is knit in a wide-wale rib. This pattern is fully charted AND fully written--choose your poison. Shown in size 2 (orange) and size 18 months (blue). Sweater is sized to be fitted (according to the CYC sizing standards), size up for room to grow. As with all sized patterns, getting gauge is crucial. A full schematic is provided to further help you choose which size to knit!
This pattern was written for intermediate-experienced knitters who are comfortable reading their work and decreasing while maintaining cable pattern. There are a variety of resources available on Kate's website including FAQ, a video tutorial on crossing cables prior to decreasing, & a KAL with Q&A.
