Product Details
This is an easy to knit egg cover in the shape of a chicken. The stitches used are knit and purl. The bottom is ribbed to fit around an egg, and the rest of the body is garter stitch (knit every stitch). It takes a little knowledge of crochet to make the beak and comb parts. I made mine using worsted weight yarn and a plastic Easter egg. The size can be varied by the yarn weight and knitting needle size. This was from a chicken that my Grandmother gave me for Easter when I was younger. I asked for the pattern but she didn't have it, so I counted and experimented and came up with a similar version of my own.
