Product Details
In the legend of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, the Green Knight appears before King Arthur’s court during a Christmas feast, holding a bough of holly in one hand and a battle axe in the other. The Green Knight issues a challenge: he will allow one man to strike him once with his axe, under the condition that he return the blow the following year. Sir Gawain, a knight of the Round Table, accepts and beheads the Green Knight, who then stands up, picks up his head, and bids Gawain remember to meet him in a year.
Green Knight Socks feature a modern take on a traditional twisted-stitch stocking. Use a solid or a semi-solid yarn in a lighter color to best display the intricate twists and turns!
This pattern provides 4 separately charted sizes (60, 64, 68, and 72 stitches).
