This neck warmer is perfect as an alternative to a bulkier scarf or a cowl. It lies flat on the chest and looks great under coats or fitted jackets. This design works great for little children too as it is much more practical than a scarf for an active kid, but keeps the chills away. Since the mock turtle neck collar is really stretchy it should fit fine any neck, but you might want to work fewer rows for a child's neck.
The pattern requires around 70 grams of yarn. You can use the rest to knit my Green Fingers fingerless mitts
The yarn I used is Quince and Co, it is beautifully smooth and has a wonderful stitch definition, but any 4 ply could be used. I would suggest going for a soft non-tickle yarn though as it gets very close to the sensitive skin on the neck and face.
