The Guerrero Mitts are knit from the bottom up in the round, beginning and ending with a twisted rib. The thumb gusset is worked simultaneously with the hand colorwork. Separate thumb and hand colorwork charts are included in the pattern.
Sizes: Small (Large) = 6 ½” (8”) around hand.
Gauge: 18 sts x 20 rounds = 4” on larger needles in colorwork pattern.
Yarn: Plymouth Chunky Merino Superwash (123 yrds / 112 m, 100g / 3.53 oz, 100% superwash merino wool); 100 yrds of MC (Taupe Heather), 60 yrds of CC1 (Natural) and 60 yrds of CC2 (Copper Heather), or three colors of any bulky weight yarn to obtain gauge.
Needles: US size 8 (5mm) and US size 9 (5.5mm) dpns, or any size necessary to obtain gauge.
Other Materials: Stitch markers (2), darning needle.
