Happy Waves Blanket

This Happy Waves Blanket is a great beginners pattern. In this pattern I'll explain how to make the blanket in the size you want and how to make the edging. You can use the edging tutorial on all future blanket projects. To make this pattern you need to know the basic stitches: chain, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, treble crochet (US terms). I made this blanket with Scheepjes Cotton Eight, but Phildar Coton 3 is a lovely alternative yarn. The Phildar Coton 3 colors that I picked for this blanket are similar to the Scheepjes-yarn colors that I used. The amount of yarn that you see here is just a basis starter pack that you can use to make a baby blanket. For a larger blanket you might need more yarn. The pattern is written in US terms. I used a crochet hook size 3mm.
