Product Details

A beautiful textured, gender neutral, reversible baby blanket. Knitted in one piece using a combination of knit and purl stitches and heart and star motives. The blanket has a garter stitch border and is designed in a textured stripe layout.

The blanket is designed in one size, measuring aprroximately 65 cm x 95 cm ( 25.5" x 37.25"). It is the perfect size for a crib, pram or bassinet.

Knitted using DK (8 Ply) yarn on 4 mm (UK 8 - US 6) knitting needles. I would recommend using circular needles, working back and forth, due to the size of the finished piece.

Alternative DK (8 Ply) yarns can be used as long as the tension required for the pattern is achieved.

The pattern has written and chart instructions for each different stitch section.

Skills required: cast on and bind off, knit and purl stitching.

Hearts and Stars blanket was easy and fun to knit. Due to the changing patterns, over about 20 rows, it was not boring to knit as blankets can be.

Pattern is easy to follow. Yarn is beautiful. I am making this blanket as a baby gift. So pleased with the color and weight of the yarn.

Paintbox yarns are always good quality. I had trouble with the pattern and finally gave up. I might try again another time.
