Product Details
This cowl is knit with a chunky yarn, which makes for a nice quick knit. It's a great project to work on any time of the year, since you won't have a pile of yarn in your lap like you would with a sweater or blanket. When I was designing this cowl I wanted something that was quick to make for gifts as needed, but was also a bit more open to wear here in Virginia. I find that bulky cowls can get too warm, but with the lace it gives a breathability to it that it makes it much more versatile for climates that don't get quite as cold. It also has movement in the lace that gives the cowl more visual interest. The name of this cowl came about because of how we tend to bundle up in the winter. We pull up the scarves and cowls up over our faces in the harsh winter winds to the point that we can barely be recognized.
