Product Details
The Honeyvine Beanie is named after a wild-growing plant native to Kentucky, my home state. The climbing cables of this knit beanie are reminiscent of the resilient vine.
Never knitted cables before? These simple cables are perfect for beginners, and the pattern includes links to helpful videos.
Skill level: Advanced Beginner Size: adult (one size fits most; instructions include guidelines for creating custom sizes)
Materials needed: • Yarn: 135 yards* light chunky yarn, such as Malabrigo Mecha or We Are Knitters The Petite Wool • US 7 & 8 (4.5mm and 5.0mm) 16" circular needles, or size needed to match gauge** • US 8 (5.0mm) double pointed needles, or size of larger circular needles • Yarn needle • Stitch markers • Recommended: cable needle/double pointed needle smaller than larger needles
*most knitters need less than 130 yards (1 skein) of Mecha, but it can be very close!
**my knitting tension runs average to slightly looser than average
