Jamie - prem booties and mittens

This 8ply Bootie and Mitten set is worked in easy stocking stitch, with a garter stitch edging and offers the option of knitted i-cord or ribbon ties. It features two row stripes which will suit a boy or girl and can even be worked in your favourite sports team colours!

Pattern sizes: Prem 1 (Prem 2-Prem 3-Newborn).

To fit foot: 4 (5-6-7) cm [1½ (2-2½-2¾) ins].

Yarn required:

Lincraft Double Knitting 8ply Yarn, 100g balls@266m.

1 (1-1-1) ball 1st Colour (red).

1 (1-1-1) ball 2nd Colour (white).

Quantities vary between knitters and types of yarns.

Needles required:

A pair of 4.00mm [UK 8, US 6] knitting needles.

2 double-pointed 4.00mm [UK 8, US 6] knitting needles for optional i-cord.

Wool needle for sewing up.

Also required:

174 (180-186-192) cm [70 (72-74-76) ins] narrow ribbon (optional).

Tension: 22 sts and 30 rows to 10cm [4 ins] over stocking st, using 4.00mm needles.
