JC-Halcyon is knit flat in pieces from the bottom up, beginning with the back. Once the front is completed, the shoulders are created by short rows and seamed using the 3-needle bind off. The sleeves are then picked up along the armhole and knit straight through the cuff. (Alternate instructions for tapered sleeves are included.) The collar is created by picking up stitches on the wrong side of the fabric as opposed to the traditional right side, leaving the seam facing the right side of the fabric, a pretty little detail to coordinate with the rest of the design.
Model is a chest size 39, wearing size L– 44.5in / 113cm. 4 - 6in / 10 - 15cm of positive ease is recommended.
GAUGE: 16 sts and 20 rows = 4in / 10cm in stockinette st on larger needle. 18 sts and 20 rows = 4in / 10cm in rib pattern on smaller needle.
