Product Details
This item is knit sideways, increasing from one end to the centre & decreasing to the other from that point. The prototype is knit from ONE CARON CAKE. (not enough to add tassles) You will also see a 2nd version with tassles added. This was knit from stash with 2 strands of 4ply cotton to produce a marled effect.
There are a number of stitches used. Included are bobbles, slipped stitches & eyelet/knot effect stitches, as well as a rather effective lace flower which features rather more prominently in my Venetian Rose Blanket pattern/collection. Some experience in all these techiniques is recommmended. Good manual dexterity is needed for the lace flower. There are several rows of stockinette (stocking stitch) between the different textures.
