Braided cables and a rope cable, both worked in ribbing add enough interest, but are simple enough that you can take your eyes off the chart.
The braided cable goes down the heel flap while the rope cable works its way down the front to the toe.
Due to the nature of the cables, 2 cable needles are necessary.
