Product Details
Kerid is an Icelandic sweater for children, named after the volcanic crater lake in Iceland. Its traditional Icelandic yoke is reminiscent of the vivid redness of the crater slopes against the intense azure colour of its lake.
This lopapeysa (the Icelandic word for “wool sweater”) is a seamless top-down sweater knit in the round. The pattern includes a colour chart for the yoke and another one for the lower body colourwork section. All relevant knitting techniques are explained in detail and links to video tutorials are also provided. I wish to make this pattern accessible to all, regardless of your experience as a knitter.
As a bonus, there is a printable Kerid colouring page at the end of the pattern, so you can have some fun testing different colour combinations!
