Product Details
This playful beanie features cute kitty faces, is knitted in the round, in DK yarn. Worked from a colour knitting chart, it uses stranded colour work in 5 shades plus a very small amount of black/dark brown for the pupils. Made in Rowan Felted Tweed DK it takes less than 20g/70m (76yds) of each of the five main shades so would make a great stash buster project and a purrfect present for any cat loving friends. The skills required to knit this beanie are: working in the round, knit, purl, increasing, decreasing, stranded colour work (fair isle technique), chart reading.
The pattern is written for a medium sized adult female head. However, a larger size can be achieved by working on larger needles and changing the tension. At a tension of 22sts and 30 rows the finished hat would fit a 60cm (23 1/2inch) head with the same amount of negative ease as given in the pattern.
