Kitzbuhel [ˈkɪtsbyːl] is a small alpine town in the middle of the Austrian Alps known for its skiing and mountain scenery. During Spring, when the snow is almost gone from the mountains and the sun sets, the snow glows in many colors against the dark forest and the lights from the town twinkle in the air. It’s truly a magical sight and it’s the inspiration behind the Kitzbuhel cardigan and its pullover counterpart. It is a top-down raglan style cardigan, completely seamless, worked fully in Standard Mosaic Crochet. It’s an entertaining project that allows you to play with color but with a rhythmic repetitive pattern that is easy to memorize.
