I used good semi-woolen Turkish yarn. I knitted with straight knitting needles. I sewed the parts with a mattress stitch. I stuffed the toy with holofiber toy fillers - a recycled material.
The pattern contains elements that are crocheted. This is the toe of the pointe shoes - a small circle. This is lace. You can take ready-made lace instead of crocheting it.
