Product Details
The interlocking twists and cables in this hat have a very nautical feel. Whether you’re out hunting whales or just walking by the ocean, this hat is sure to keep you warm and toasty! The pattern has two sizes: Small Adult (approx. 51 cm / 20 inch head) and Large Adult (approx. 56 cm / 22 inch head).Materials Needed: Approximately 180 m / 196 yards of worsted weight wool. Sample hat is made with Katia Cotton-Merino Tweed (53% Cotton / 25% Merino / 22% Polyester) in Dark Turquoise. For a similar look, I recommend Cascade 220 in Summer Sky Heather. 3.75 mm / US 5 and 4 mm / US 6 circular needles, 40 to 50 cm (16 to 20 inches) long, and 4 mm / US 6 Double Pointed Needles. If you prefer to knit hats using the magic loop technique, use circular needles at least 80 cm / 32 inches in length. A cable needle. A tapestry needle for weaving in ends. A stitch marker for marking the beginning of round.
