About this pattern: A stretchy, comfy, snug and well-fitting and super easy to make balaclava that can be made in any size from newborn to adult XL. This balaclava hat is knit in the round. It features a large face opening which can be worn open and loosely or can be called up and pulled tightly (or not too tightly) closed.
Gauge: 21 sts in 4 in / 10cm in stockinette stitch. Row gauge is not important for this pattern.
You will need: yarn (up to 80 grams for the smallest size, up to 190 grams for the largest size), knitting needles to obtain the gauge (for knitting in the round), one stitch marker, darning needle. A ribbon of your choice – or a crochet chain – or a knit icord.
IMPORTANT: do not keep babies unattended in a hat with drawstrings, icords, crochet chains, etc!
