Product Details
This shawl features a lace and mock cable stitch which comes to us from Japan, and is accentuated with a Japanese ladder stitch. All symbols have been translated from Japanese to the symbols that are familiar to Western knitters. Combined, they make a unique and delicate shawl.
The pattern also contains instructions for an optional crocheted edging.
All stitches are charted only.
Skill Level: Beginner + - Intermediate (assuming a good working knowledge of lace knitting.) Skill Level for the optional Edging: Intermediate (assuming a working knowledge of crocheting)
The shawl shown in the sample was made Lorna’s Laces Sportmate yarn in colorway, Key Largo.
Any heavy weight fingering yarn or light weight sport weight yarn will work for this pattern. No crochet hooks needed if you don't want to edge this shawl.
