Lakes make me feel calm and peaceful. This shawl was designed with indie-dyed yarn from Yoriko Oki, who perfectly captured an image of clouds reflecting in lake water with her Nita Lake colorway. Contrast color stripes in the body of the shawl make me think of undercurrents we can't see in the depth of a lake. My hope is that as linen stitch and simple lace invite you to relax with their meditative repetition, you will enjoy the process as much as the result of making this large shawl.
