Product Details

About this Design: The Långhus Blanket is knit using Bare Naked Wools ‘Stone Soup DK’. This rustic yarn provides wonderful stitch definition without a lot of weight.

The main body of this blanket was inspired by the peat bricks used to construct the recreated longhouse at L’Anse aux Meadows in Newfoundland, Canada and the border was inspired by the woodwork over the doorway. Långhus is a type of Viking longhouse.

Yarn: 1,200 (3,079, 4,358) 1,674 yards/1,097 (2,815, 3,985) 1,531 meters of tweedy DK weight wool blend yarn that knits up to 4.5-5.5 sts/inch.

Shown In: Bare Naked Wools ‘Stone Soup DK’, (300 yards/274 meters; 80% wool blend, 15% alpaca, 5% combination of tencel, bamboo and silk; 4.06 oz/115 grams per skein). 4 skeins in River Rock. Size Lap/Crib Blanket.
