Product Details
Suitable for confidenmt beginners looking to make their first shawl.
Use any laceweight yarn with 600 - 800metres per 100grams.
I wanted a pretty look that showed off my handdyed variegated yarn without distracting too much from the lacy pattern. The stitch needed to be easy to work on without being monotonous, and should use up as much of the precious yarn as possible!
The design is worked from one corner, increasing on one side, continuing until you no longer have enough yarn to complete a row.
Be sure to block your shawl after sewing in the ends, as it increases by almost a third in size and really opens up the pretty design.
This can be easily done by wetting the piece, gently squeezing out excess water, rolling it in a bath towel then standing on it to get as much water out as possible, pinning the piece out on a dry bath towel gently stretching it out to it's full size, then allowing it to dry before unpinning.
