Product Details

I recently fell in love with linen stitch, which when I first used it many, many years ago was I think called seed stitch. It’s a good way to make any flat piece that doesn’t need to be too dense – so it is good for pretty much any clothing, as it is warm and flexible, but not for toys because the stuffing would show and it stretches too much. The very basic scarf here is simply the easiest version of this stitch. It’s a bit like just working a very plain one-stitch scarf, but a little more decorative and your yarn goes at lot further. Then I learnt how to make a V shape by increasing at the ends every row and decreasing in the middle, and combined this with the linen stitch to make the more interesting V scarf, which is quite nice plain but more fun in a shaded yarn.
