Product Details

This is a listing for a pattern for a very "long wingspan" crescent shaped shawl and very deep shawl that is comprised of three different lace stitches. The focal stitch of the shawl is a fun one to work, and is a very easy stitch. The ornate lace edging stitch is added in the traditional Shetland manner, and gives a beautiful and graceful bottom to the shawl. It gives this shawl quite a unique look to it. The shawl measures 68 inches at the widest points across the top and is 28 inches deep at the deepest point. It is made with a heavier of the fingering weight yarns, and is knit on size 7 (U.S.) needles. The shawl requires approximately 1200 yards of yarn making it both a perfect warm lacy shawl for the fall. The stitches are both charted and written out line by line. Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of lace knitting).

The yarn used in the sample is Fleece Artist's Merino 2-6 yarn, in colorway, Cactus Flower. and requires approximately 3 skeins to knit.
