Crochet pattern for a small but realistic ferret amigurumi.
Size: 13.5cm/5 ¼” long if made from worsted weight, 12cm/4 ¾” from DK.
Tools and materials: DK or worsted weight yarn in off-white and brown - 3mm hook if using DK yarn, 3.5mm for worsted - 4mm (for DK)/4.5mm (for worsted) black plastic eyes - embroidery floss in brown, black or pink - fiberfill - stitch markers, pair of scissors, pair of tweezers, pins, yarn needle, embroidery needle - sewing thread and needle, or glue, to attach the eyes
Difficulty: This pattern is suitable for intermediate to advanced level crocheters, who are confident with basic stitches (ch, sl st, sc) and frequently used amigurumi techniques (invisible decrease, magic loop).
The pattern is written in English using US crochet terminology (UK/Aus equivalents provided). It contains many in-progress photos to help you crochet your ferret, but also includes a text-only appendix for easy printing.
