The yarn looks fine, but arrived with such a strong odor that I am still trying to air it out. I do not know if the odor order originated in the yarn or the plastic packaging.
Malabrigo has some of the better stitch definition.
Malabrigo wools are my favorite. Soft while working and softer after blocking.

There is never enough Malabrigo to go around, however since the price of it all has gone up significantly, it's also a purchase that one has to think twice about. It's headed toward becoming like those very expensive hand-dyed items.
Malabrigo Rios is my favorite yarn to knit with. It glides smoothly through my fingers & the needles and the results are amazing! The only problem I have is I haven’t found a skein yet that is easy to wind or stays neat & tidy halfway through. Nevertheless, I keep buying this lovely yarn!
I love this yarn - it knits up well and has a luxurious feel. Not sure how colourfast it will be but a cool wash will do the trick when the time comes.
This is a wonderful wool to work with. I'm on my third sweater using the worsted. The colors are vivid and the finished garment is soft and comfortable.
