Looking for a little cable and twisted stitches challenge?
Make a his (Medallion Beanie) and a her (Medallion Tam) version by getting both patterns with the Medallion Duet collection.
The brim band is worked sideways over only a small number of stitches on a twisted rib base, just right for a little cable challenge with the end clearly in sight.
You can choose to sew the band ends together, or to use a provisional cast-on in order to use the 3-needle bind-off to join the ends.
The band would also make a great headband. So, you are actually getting 3 patterns in one. :)
Stitches are picked up for the body and worked in the round.
A photo tutorial is included to show you how to pick up 2 sts per chain selvage st instead of just one st per chain st. A useful thing to know that might come in handy for other projects as well.
