Product Details
Méliès is a light rectangular wrap with stripes, colourwork, geometric textured and lace sections worked in two contrasting colours. It starts and ends in opposing garter stitch points and an I-cord is worked along the edge for a clean border. Short repeats create the texture and colourwork sections : there are intriguing stitches to work but their construction makes the knitting easy to read. I recommend that you use two contrasting yarns with a lot of drape and a decent stitch definition, one of which can be lightly speckled. The contrast colour works best as a semisolid or tonal yarn.
Sample used 2 full skeins of Black Elephant Singles (100 g - 366 m / 400 yds).
