This is a great way to introduce yourself to beads and knitting! This is a fairly easy to knit scarf with the flourish of a Mermaid's tail at both ends. Add in the shiny beads and you've got a wonderful scarf; weighty with beads, yet soft and suptle with the lucsious drape of 100% alpaca. Just beautiful. You will need size US 6 knitting needles, I used 474 Japanese Miyuki size 6/0 noir lined crystal aurora borealis glass seed beads (you can use any 5/0 or 6/0 beads that strike your fancy), and a size US 12 steel crochet hook, along with one skein of Joseph Galler Heather Prime Alpaca in color 223.
