This traditional Fair Isle beret was designed as a practical exercise in stranded colorwork. It is the homework of my Fair Isle and colorwork workshop, which I’ve been teaching for some time now. The pattern is very easy to memorize and it is ideal for improving your stranded knitting technique and getting a better understanding of color dominance. You can knit it in two contrasting colors or, as I did for the sample, with tonal variations of the same colorway
