★ MATERIALS AND TOOLS :
For the elephant we use Gamma «Iris» (cotton, 10g ~ 82m) or Yarnart Iris (cotton, 20g ~ 138m) or Slonim in 2 threads (Belarus, cotton+acrylic, in 2 threads 100g ~ 808m), also you can use floss (Gamma, DMC, Madeira, Anchor or others) in 3-4 threads. Colors: grey, sand. Hook №1 (1mm). Also we need a little brown thread (floss) to embroider the navel, white thread to embroider a semicircle beside the eyes and make tusks, black thread to embroider eyebrows.
For other parts I use floss in 2 threads and hook №0.7 (0.7mm)
NOTE: this pattern can also be used for crocheting toys from thicker yarn, so if it is difficult for you to crochet using thin yarn, try to crochet using thicker yarn first.
