Product Details
This zigzag beaded scarf looks clever and elegant, but is extremely easy to make.
Like all minimal knits | DESIGNED scarves, MK#20 can be worn in all sorts of ways, its quick to knit because the pattern uses needles larger than is standard for the yarn and is really, really easy to make. An elongated boomerang shape with a zigzag edge, it has the effect of being knitted on the bias.
I've made scarves like this before and been disappointed that the triangles often don’t lie neatly when I pop the scarf on without being in front of a mirror. So I had the idea of adding a tiny bit of weight (and subtle bling) to the corners by knitting a little triangle of beads into the zigzag tips. It's very easy to do and the pattern contains detailed instructions as well as hints on choosing beads for knitting.
The pictured scarf measures 190 cm / 75 inches, by 140 cm / 55 inches, by 74 cm / 29 inches without blocking.
