Product Details

I have been wanting to crochet fairytale inspired mushrooms for a while now, so I made this square for my upcoming books blanket in which each square is inspired by a book. I really enjoyed making the square, so I decided to also make a pillow version of it! Tapestry crochet is used for the front side. It is a technique where color changes occur within the rows, and the other colors are held against the work, so there are not a lot of ends to weave in! If you are new to this technique, there is a photo tutorial and explanation to demonstrate it. The back is a pink granny square. Five buttons hold the pillow together, so it can be taken on and off the insert. The written pattern includes some pictures to explain the steps, and a color chart for the front side. I hope you enjoy the pattern!
