Product Details
My Fisherman is a basic beanie that has a snug fit. The beanie is knitted bottom up and in the round. When finished, the hat is turned inside out (optional) and the edge is folded either once or twice.
If the brim is folded once, the beanie can be worn deep over the ears or loosely at the top of the head. With a twice-folded brim, the beanie sits Cousteau-like on the back of the head.
If you like a taller beanie, work the straight part of 1x1 ribbing longer than instructed. For a tall beanie, I recommend a fluffy yarn that has less drape, such as a woollen spun yarn or non-superwash merino.
Sizes: 1 (2, 3)
To fit a head circumference of approx. 50–53 (53–57, 57–61) cm / 19.75–21 (21–22.5, 22.5–24)”
The blue beanie in the photos was knitted in size 2.
Yarn: 1 skein of Pentti kampalanka by Vuonue (70% Finnish wool, 30% tencel, 240 m / 262 yds – 100 g) in colourway tummansininen OR approx. 150 (170, 200) m / 164 (185, 218) yds of other DK-weight yarn.
