A tasseled, pom pom’d, curly-cued slouch hat by Lisa McFetridge * Copyright 2014
Eleven small balls of bold colors. Or maybe eleven ballsof muted colors; tonals; even neutrals; greys, black, white. The choice of colors will make these simple borders into the knitter’s own unique creation. Little bits of favorite sweaters, scarves or other knitting projects will get new life in this cap. Like many, I save every bit of yarn. In this hat one color is used on only one round, so no amount is too small to put to use. Put the balls in a circle by color and choose the best ones. No color is off the table, but do try to stay with all brights, or all pastels or all neutrals. It’s the main color that ties them all together, in the these photos it is black. This hat is inspired by southwestern and Native American motifs. Four sizes: Newborn (Infant, Child, Adult)
Materials: Worsted Weight Wool. Colors in yardage correspond to colors in photo - a seco
