Product Details
This is a pattern for a fairly wide and warm, cozy scarf. It contains two distinct Estonian stitches. The edging stitch is not sewn on, as is typical of Estonian knitting, but rather is knit on as we are used to, and the second stitch flows from it. The pattern contains two ways of knitting Estonian nupps, so if they have given you a problem in the past, they may no longer do so. If you've never tried Estonian knitting, you will learn easily using this pattern.
Skill level: Intermediate (assuming good basic knitting skills.
The pattern is both charted and written out line by line. There are also instructions for an optional crocheted edging, should you want to edge it.
Any heavy fingering weight yarn or sport weight yarn giving you 5 1/2 sts/in on size (US)#5 (3.75mm) needles in lace stitch will work for this pattern.
