Product Details

New Horizons was designed to be knit using any fingering weight yarn (original worked using Lichtfaden Rei) in two or more colours with the colours being semi solid/speckles and each incorporating elements of the others. However, there is no reason why your colours could not be boldly contrasting, tonal or the same colour but different textures; what about using one solid and a gradient, two fingerings with a kidsilk held with one of them, a fingering and a Silk Halo/Fuzzy Mohair (fingering/sport weight) … the world is your oyster? Make your New Horizon your own and embrace the change.

New Horizons is a top down, crescent shaped shawl that is easy to knit and easy to wear. A striped, stocking-stitch, body leads to a simple lace design surrounded by broken garter ridges with a garter stitch edge flaring to the edge. Easy to repeat the main body chart and/or the lace chart to enlarge or reduce your shawl, introduce additional colours and change the bind off to make this shawl your own!
