Product Details
NILA is a crescent shaped shawl worked sideways with one skein of fingering weight yarn. It is designed as a stylish lightweight accessory, useful for wrapping around the neck during the chilly spring/summer evenings. I have kept the body simple with bias garter stitch but added a decorative twisted stitch border with delicate knot stitches which settles stylishly around the neck. The word ‘Nila’ means moon in Tamil (a south Indian language). This shawl is shaped with a pronounced curvature that reminds me of the crescent moon.
