Product Details
Nishtha is a Sanskrit word meaning faith or devotion. I came across the word years ago when a friend told me her baby niece was named Nishtha. That was the first time I’d heard it and I fell in love instantly.
This trapezoid-shaped wrap is knit sideways from end to end and is worked in 3 sections. Stitches are then picked up to work a small decorative border along the bottom edge, and finally, an applied i-cord along the top edge of the wrap.
Finished Measurements: Length from tip to tip: 72” (182cm), depth: 15” (38cm).
Yarn: Fingering weight yarn in three colours: approx. 290 yds (266m) in MC, 200 yds (182m) in CC1 and 140 yds (128m) in CC2 Sample shown in Holst Garn Supersoft (315yds (288m), 100% wool, 50g) 1 ball each in MC: Calypso (green), CC1: Opal (blue), CC2: Goldcrest (orange)
Needles: US size 7 (4.5mm) needles
Gauge: 22 sts and 28 rows = 4” (10cm) in st st after blocking
Difficulty: Intermediate. Uses i-cord bind off, german short rows, daisy stitch
