I designed these Nutcracker Soldiers to hang on the tree but so that I could put money inside.
They are very popular and these are useful.
They use up so many small scraps of yarn and are very easy tomato. They crochet up really quickly.
Any size yarn and hook would be ok as size is unimportant, however, 8ply (DK) will make about a 13-15cms (5-6") doll.
You can use beads, ribbons, braids, jewels or any other embellishments to make your soldier unique.
