Off Set “Log Cabin” Granny Stitch Throw Skill Level: Easy Approx finished size Squares: 22 cm x 22 cm (8.5” x 8.5”) Throw with border: 144 cm x 144 cm (56” x 56”) This throw is made of 36 squares. The squares use a granny stitch, with colours in right angle blocks. This is similar to the traditional “log cabin” pattern, popular in quilting. I have arranged the blocks to be off centre, by using fewer rows for the lighter colours. The pattern has step by step instructions and photographs to assist with the turns and placement of new colours. At the end of the pattern there are a number of suggestions for square arrangements, as this design is very flexible.
